Stairs, Doors & Window Installation in Newcastle

Staircases, door hanging and window installation, the finish carpentry people actually touch.

Internal staircase and roof framing under construction on a Newcastle build

These are the parts of a house people put their hands on every day, so the tolerances matter. A staircase that is 5mm out per riser is a trip hazard. A window that is not flashed correctly leaks into the wall you just paid to build. We set these out properly and seal them the way the manufacturer specifies.

What this covers

  • Internal and external staircase construction
  • Balustrades and handrails to NCC compliance
  • Window supply, installation and flashing
  • Bifold, stacker and sliding door systems
  • Entry doors, internal doors and hardware
  • Architraves, skirting and finish carpentry

Why people call us for this

A door that binds a year on, a window whose sash sticks, a stair that creaks: each was decided on the day it went in. A head fixed hard up under the lintel, a jamb packed on one side only, a stringer fixed to the lining instead of the framing. We square and plumb every opening first, pack jambs at the hinge and lock points, leave a gap between the head and the lintel, and fix stringers back to the structure, so you are not planing doors next winter.

FAQ

Stairs, Doors & Windows questions

Can you replace windows without redoing the cladding?

In most cases yes. We cut back only what is needed to reach the flashing, install the new unit, then make good. If the existing flashing has failed we will show you before covering it up.
